Is it any wonder?

Is it any mystery why people who don't know guns handle them badly?

I was watching "Training Day," and in the first five minutes, this is how a cop handles his gun: with a finger in the trigger guard as he loads it.

Sigh.

If you like, I've attached a ZIP file with a brief Windows Media Player video capture of the scene.

It's no surprise that Hollywood gets it wrong again. Seems like for a bunch of anti-gunners out there, they sure make alot of violent movies. I guess it's OK if they make money on it. :banghead:

I think they should teach firearms handling in about 6th grade and again in 10th.

I hope he's got kevlar Chuck Taylors on. I caught my self about to use the t word that was prohibited in another thread.

Well remember, there is a reason why Denzel's character choose him to be setup...thought that it would be easy. He probably figured anyone that handles a gun like that is going to be easy to finger.

Anyone who learns his/her gun handling skills from the tripe that passes as entertainment today deserves what they get. One can just hope that they remove themselves from the gene pool before they pollute it.

Mod: I hope this isn't too "low road" for the board.
