Is it hard to fix a badly cracked wooden foreend stock on pump shotgun?

If you're having this problem with the wood, given the nature and location of the crack, I don't think I'd bother spending any further time/money repairing it. Get a replacement and be done with it.
I just got off the phone with Mossberg and a new wood one is on the way. I will put fixing this one on the back burner. Hopefully the color of the new one is a close match. Not that the world will end if it isn't.

I have had better luck with "wood" glues if I want stain to match, CA glues especially thin ones will wick into the grain (as they were designed to) and won't refinish very well.

Surgical tubing wrapped around and around will clamp any shape together and leave no marks on wood.
