Is it just me, or was it a great deal?

I had been watching and looking around for a Ruger Super Redhawk. I had decided that the best balance for all around use was the 7 1/2" barrel model. I was hoping to sell one of my other guns to fund the purchase, but one came up for sale and I had spoken back and forth with the seller. It was the exactly what I wanted, the seller bought it new in 2008 to go deer hunting with a family member and never got out to do it. The gun had only 15 rounds through it since new and the seller didn't use it as a range gun so decided to sell it. I ended up getting it for $600, plus $30 shipping and my FFL's fee of $25. So for $655 I got what I feel is a new Super Redhawk. Am I overly happy, or do you guys think it was a good a deal as I'm thinking it was?

PS - Even though I bought it BEFORE I sold my other gun, it all worked out as someone bought the gun I had for sale a few hours after I bought the Redhawk....

thats about what I paid for mine, but I would bet mine had more rounds through it than yours when I bought it, so imo you did pretty good.

It's a 44 Magnum. I figured that would be the most economical big bore caliber. I already ordered the dies and factory crimp die for it (and the turret to hold them). I haven't received it yet...just made payment today so it'll be a few days to a week before I get it. Here are the pictures that were posted with the listing, though:

I agree. But the important thing is, you are happy with the deal.
Yep, I'm thrilled. It's exactly what I was looking for...the sale of my other gun more than paid for this one, and as a bonus, the seller had over 300 Hornady XTP bullets and about 40 pieces of brass that he sold me for a fair price, which will get me started in accumulating reloading supplies for the 44 mag. I ordered the die set and seperately the factory crimp die from Amazon this morning.
