Your bersa isn't a 1911 clone Its close to a Walther's model But not a true clone of it even . By way some on line dealers advertise Bersa is License by Walther . They are not Lic by Walther That is just ad hype .

A 1911 is a single action pistol Bersa is a DA/SA pistol. I haven't saw a firestar in a long time But its not a 1911 Clone either .

No on both, not even close. While the M43 may have been "inspired by the 1911" it is far from a clone. The Bersa? not even a distant cousin twice removed.

Bersa is a close to a walther ppk is design , the fire star is just an evolution of the star line of pistols and the m43 was an adaptation of stars using a lot of common designs of other popular 1980's semi auto pistols.

The FireStar is a single-action, recoil-operated semi automatic pistol fed by a single-column. That is the only way it's related to a 1911. A long time ago Star made a little .45 called the PD which looked a bit more like a 1911, but it still wasn't a clone.

The star m43 is nowhere close. A very unique firearm that is of it's own class.

The older stars I always considered to be an improved 1911, no grip safety, a solid backstrap, a hammer locking safety and in the later models a linkless bbl. What's not to love?

The Firestar, other than having a single-action trigger, is nothing at all like a 1911. With its double-action trigger, the Bersa is even less alike. Although it is different inside and not truly a "clone," the Star PD outwardly resembled the Colt Officer's ACP, actually predating that gun by several years.
