Is the 7mm Remington Magnum obsolete?

7mm Rem Mag ammo is readily available in several bullet sizes and many different brands at all my local gun stores so it's definitely not obsolete and it's a very effective round.
but if you're worried about something becoming obsolete definitely don't go with rum
You get 300 Win Mag that's a proven classic that will always always be around
 
Their ain’t no rifle out there any more obsolete than a long bow and plenty of people still use those.
Right as a individual hunting weapon it is still very viable. As I said up thread I would argue for the individual it's basically impossible for a hunting weapon to be obsolete if the individual can source the weapon and ammunition and has the desires to use it.

The long bow as an issued weapon of war has been obsolete for many many generations.

On an only slightly related note, wasn’t there a guy in WWII who used a bow and sword in battle? I want to say he was a Scot
