Is there a reputable shop that will do a FFL transfer for a reasonable fee in the SF bayarea?

Thanks in advance.

Trader's in San Leandro is a coupla three blocks outside the Oakland line, but they're neither reasonable nor reputable. They'll sell anything to anybody--strawman, drug dealer, snubnosed .357 to your arthritic blind granma, they don't care. :scrutiny: :fire: :banghead: :cuss:

Sorry, SaxonPig made me flash, and I stole the thread.

There's a thread on Calguns.net or two about this same topic.

Irvington Arms in Fremont will do transfers. There IS one FFL in the City proper - High Bridge Arms in the Mission - but I'm not familiar with their pricing.

Sportsman's Supply on Camden Ave. in Campbell, CA
The city (SF) is a little hard on gun dealers.
Bullseye in San Raphael might help you.
Good Luck

I plugged some Bay area zip codes into the Gunbroker link, is $50 considered a "reasonable" fee?
I just paid $10, walked away quickly from one place that wanted $25.

I called a place that charged 20% of the gun plus the tax and DROS charges to do a transfer.:fire: That was when I lived in the Bay Area.

Anything $75 and under is reasonable to me. The problem is most shops give you bad attitude or don't want to do it.

Kerleys will hit you about 65 for a long gun and about 80 for a handgun. negotiable if you do regular business with them. they are very fair and honest. ask for Harry or Casey. I wouldnt step in Traders if it was the last shop in .. well maybe if it was the LAST shop... rumor is they are about to lose their FFL .. just a rumor i heard in a gun shop real close to there.

reeds only has deals in the big June sale.

You can find a friendly FFL at the shooting range on Davis in San Leandro. Fees are reasonable. I think that I paid around $40 - $45 on my last transaction. Just ask for Larry.

Has any one here used Dmitri Danilevsky of Diger International in South San Francisco?

I talked to Dimitri on the phone before but he was too busy to talk. Is he going to be at the next SF cow palace gun show? Does he have regular hours at his shop? Is it a gun shop or a part time business?

Dr. ken Lunde turned me on to Dmitriy Danilevsky who did my last registration.

He charged 40 bucks. 20 for DOJ and 20 profit for himself.

He is in South San Francisco.
Unknown if it is a part tiime or full time biz. He does have a 'shop' but its not a gunstore. He did not require me to trapse around to the gunshow but I visited him at the shop.

Does any one have Dimitri Diger International's address in South San Francisco?

I allways use Jackson Arms in SSF

there real friendly,I have no idea what they charge but it is reasonabe I'm sure.
They also have ladies night at their range. They have been friendly
to the RKBA folks here in Frisco for a long time now.

My only complaint about Traders in San Leandro is that they play horrible
music, KOIT fm the worlds worst radio station, playing all the anti gun musicans most horrible music, that stupid soft Sting stuff and Babs Streisand.:barf:
How do they expect you to purchase a gun with B.S playing in the background?
If they can't play Ted Nugent they can at least play classical.
I like their inventory but I can't shop and be assaulted by crybaby crap like that station

Jackson Arms in SSF charges a high price for a FFL transfer and they act like they don't want to do it. I know a couple of people that got attitude from Jackson Arms.

Try Krausewerk Collectibles in San Mateo. http://www.krausewerk.com I just checked-out there shop for the first time today. . . nice guys, lots of surplus military rifles, cowboy guns, shotguns, holsters, swords, a decent library. They focus on WWII collectible stuff, but have *some* new inventory too.

They charge a $10 fee + $20 DROS = $30 total :). For my last transfer, the cheapest of the dozen places I talked to charged $65 :(.

I went ahead and had them order a Henry Mini-Bolt for my son. The thought of a $65 fee on a < $200 gun had been making me sick: $30 I can handle.
