Hello friends and neighbors // Down at a local pawn shop.... Picked out the Buck and the RobT Klaas fixed blades then went and dumped the scrap knife box and these folders turned up. 1907bokertree.jpg

I'd like help identifying and getting an approx. date of manuf. for these:

I believe the Boker Tree is a 1907 style. The only markings on the knife. 1907bokertreeemblem.jpg

The other yellow scale folder only has a U.S.A. stamp but has a Barlow style blade.

Love to have a 100 year old Boker find!

Also interested in a d.o.m. for the Camillus , New York, U.S.A.,...3 blade Cub Scout Knife cubscout.jpg

and the J.A. Henckels, gentlemans knife. Really like the scale pattern. gentlemans knife.jpg gentlemansknifelft.jpg

Anyone know the name of the pattern?

Thanks for looking/sharing.

For that old German blade the manufacturer was "Henckels" and they quit making folders a few years back. I only have one of their folders, a single bladed carbon steel work knife that looks like the same pattern as a Case Sodbuster.... only much, much sharper. It's a prized work knife that I bought new in the seventies....

I'll be watching this thread to learn a bit more....

ty yes the blades are extremely sharp on the Henckels (ty edited the spelling) I was able to locate the logo.

No luck on the era. I bought it because of the "turtle shell"(?) pattern, still can't find another like it.

Very well made.

The logo is a post 1989 Camillus logo on the Cub Scout knife.

No logos here, but after reading this thread and pondering a bit I went to E-Bay and found (to my surprise) that there are actually some Henckels folders being offered these days. The last time I checked there were rarely ever one or two.

For those interested just enter Henckels folding knife and enjoy the pics... I believe they quit making folders within the last thirty years or so (and that would fit with the last time I was able to buy a few as gifts for family members). The new ones look like new old stock items, but I'd be glad to hear that they're making them again. The one sample I have was very well made - and is the sharpest cutting folder I've ever had...

For HSO and others, here's a similar knife currently available on E-Bay with a much clearer logo shown...

Every now and then you can learn some surprising details about production stuff just by closely reading ads on for sale items. Apparently Henckels revived their pocket knife line by out-sourcing some of their designs to Boker for production. This ad details that info for anyone interested.....

Both the blades, on my Henckels, have the same logo on one side and are blank on the other.

The two figures over J.A. Henckels over Solingen.

Lemaymiami... that is an outstanding folder, wish mine looked that new. Ty for the link.

Looks like you have a pretty unique piece there. The pattern looks like an Art Deco or Nouveau style so that might date it between 1880 and 1940. Looks more Deco to me and that would narrow it down to the '20s and '30s.
