Is this a decent shotgun?

Looking at a shot gun for skeet and maybe sporting clays. My LGS has a beautiful used over/under. It is supposed to he a Rottweil, the only markings I can see on the barrels is the word Faison. Nicely engraved receiver, and in really nice shape. Have any of you heard of this model? Asking price is $1000. Any input would be appreciated.

Rottweil shotguns are of good quality. I don't have a reference for a 'Faison' model (German for 'pheasant', IIRC), but the Rottweil 720 Jagd (hunting) model sold for DM 3066 in the 1982/83 Waffen Frankonia catalog, at a time when the dollar/DM exchange was 1:2.5 or so.

Take the barrels off and get the proof marks - that will tell you proof pressure, chamber length, choke, etc.
