IS THIS A GOOD PRICE FOR A 280 STEYR STAINLESS PRO HUNTER? I recently had a post asking about these rifles. That post is gone now but sense then I put the gun on a layaway to give me 60 days to decide what I want to do without the risk of someone buying the gun while I decide. I still don't know much about them and I've heard that you need high scope mounts for them. I don't like that idea at all! But in the end this seems like a good deal and I am in the market for a 280. I like the feel of this rifle but will I need to replace the bolt handle in order to mount a scope without high rings? 280s are hard to come by anymore without having to get some special package (mountain rifle) for instance for the rem.700 I know tc makes them still. So I was excited to find this but I'm still very unfamiliar with steyr rifles. I like to hunt at long ranges witch usually requires some accurizing the rifle. This gun looks and feels very solid so other than a bed job I don't know what if anything will need to be done to get this gun to use For long rang (600+) hunting. They dont seem to have much for aftermarket goodies on these rifles. This is the price. What I would like to know is if this is a jump on it price of would I be better off going with a rem.700 of some kind? That I will pay more in the end to do what I want.
