Larrywillis.com For belted magnums. A little "extra" case resizing is required... sounds like a small base die application. The video I watched doesn't mention about neck sizing, so I'm assuming after sizing in your FL die, this die is added sizing. This ONE die and collet is universal and works on ALL of the popular belted magnum calibers... so yeah it's a second step die.

Guy on the video is Randy Selby called "The Real Gunsmith" You tuber

for the 300WM you can measure the area right above the belt that the FL sizing die doesn't get-
the one side of the die is a case gauge, the other side is the sizing die.
I can get more than 5 loads on 300WM Brass now between annealing and the Larry Willis die.
I'm on my 9th loading now with ADG Brass with loads replicating the Mark 248 Mod 1 specs.

Jonnys reloading bench has several episodes showing how and why it's used. If you have clambering issues it may give you a few more loads before tossing the brass.

I have one, and an M70 .375 H&H. I can easily neck size only for 15+ cycles on a batch of brass, and have no chambering interference; they'll fail for loose pockets before needing further sizing. I suspect, but can't prove, that some property of the chamber causes this, as the same is not true of very many rifles.

If I use the die, it takes the brass way down below as-fired, and would certainly shorten life. I haven't needed it.

If you want to experiment, I'm happy to size a few you send me. PM if so.

I shoot .458 Win Mag, and so far so good with my RCBS sizer. If I ever start having issues with being unable to size the cases enough, I might consider it.

I had one of the early BAR in 7mm Mag. It would not feed anything from a standard die. I bought an RCBS small-based die and never looked back. And, not an addition step.

It is interesting and the price isn’t too bad.

I see small base die set on ebay.... and then a Wilson case gauge. $120 But this set up is a bit cheaper and I don't need another seater die.

I have a Lyman hand die for 30-30. It sizes the whole body, which is needed sometimes with some of the sloppy chambers used in 30-30 rifles. It's especially useful when using brass fired in someone else's gun with a loose chamber. But I've also seen where cases fired in my gun repeatedly would swell at the web area and be snug to chamber.

Might be an inexpensive option for someone needing to size the lowest portion of their cases, provided you can obtain one in the chambering needed.

I own one of these dies but haven't actually gotten around to loading for a belted magnum quite yet. It's a neat and unique offering.
