Tell you a funny one.

By the end of summer I had him running post to post shoot an scoot drills. He was taking soda cans at 25m on the move (not hard but remember he was 12). He was also doing tac reloads and other related GI joe stuff.

He was probably 3x more MP5 qualified than most local Mayberry RFD SWAT guys.

Anyway later that fall he is out on his bike in front of his house with the other neighborhjood kids talking about video games and such when I overheard...

"That's bull****, a MP5 won't do that. I know, I shoot real ones all the time. You only know about them from video games."

When I lived up north the damn neighbor kids got more MP5 time than I did. I was like Mr. Wilson with select fire weapons. One kid spent all of his paper route money on 9mm every week. He'd wake my *** up early on Saturdays and remind me I told him that I'd take him shooting anytime he wanted.

and about that M249 ... is it a dealer sample? I never knew they made any domestically before 1986, or at all before 1968 (they're FN, so I don't know if they make anything domestically, actually).
