Is this a good buy? I mean it's missing a brass tumbler but everything else seems to be in order. I'm going to be loading short action rifle ranging from 22-250 to 300wsm and probably even 358 win.

Any other suggested pieces?

To sum it up:

RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit, Green

This kit has the updated case loading block, deburing tool and Accessory Handle
Comes with Press, Reloading Scale, Uniflow Powder Measure, Hand Priming Tool, Case Loading Block, Debur Tool, Hex Key Set, Case Lube Kit, Powder Funnel and Reloading Manual

JMHO as I have LEE stuff but I think that RCBS kit is the best deal going .

It is all quality stuff, no junk and will last several lifetimes.

Yes I think it is worth it!:)

Great kit at a great price. I bought one about 2 years ago, press was missing the shell holder spring, RCBS sent me 2 free. You will need a set of calibers right away and (for rifle) a case trimmer soon. Then your cases will get dirty and you will tired of hand cleaning and need a tumbler.

Reloading is a gadget and do-dad hobby. More so than photography. But...you get to shoot something with both hobbies! A pluse on both sides as I see it...so start both!

I've used RCBS for years...( started mid '70's ) Its good and will last a long time.

Even though it has a beam scale, you might want to consider a decent digital scale and a set of check-weights.

We can help you spend your $! :D

Seriously, with RCBS, it is hard to go wrong. Too many happy campers with them. (for what it's worth, I mainly own Lee's stuff)

it's a fair price IMHO. RCBS is a good heavy duty press (I have 4). When you get the press mount it to a sturdy table. Remove the black bushing that's on the top of the press and buy and install a lock & load bushing adapter (only need 1). Buy the L&L bushings (10 packs are best buy) and install them on all your dies. Makes the reloading process faster and easier.

A balance beam scale trumps a electronic scale any time or any day. It has a lifetime warranty, does not vary as a electronic does Electronics WILL die at some time. They are OK for a quick check of a bullet or powder weight

A scale is the most important piece of equipment in reloading.

No doubt about it. Given the choice between the two, beam scales wins. But since we have a choice.... :)

I'm still using the Hornady/Pacific powder scale I bought while working at the shop in High school in 1971!!! A good balance beam scale never wears out or needs batteries.
I still also have the RCBS Jr. press I bought as a sophomore in college in '75. Used the RCBS lube pad thi afternoon!
Good equipment gives a good return on the investment. But I also still have my original Lee loaders in 20ga and .30/30! Got the 20 ga in '69, the .30/30 in '70.

RCBS beam scales are not what they used to be. They were still using Ohaus molds for the casting, that have been made in NJ USA but are now done in China and not the same quality. They are not as good as the ones that were built here. The "made in China" sticker can be removed and unless you know what your looking for, you couldn't tell the difference, except when weighing charges.
