Is your 45 1911 rough on brass?

@cfullgraf, ok now I get it.
I load on a single stage and each case gets inspected multiple times during the process.
I didn't have any cases wrinkle so that was good.

This is what I'm getting. Definitely from ejection port impact.
I didn't really notice the small burr on the rim. That may have been caused by a bur on the extractor that has since smoothed out.

That little crease is caused by the case impacting the rear edge of the ejection port as it flips out of the pistol. It is most assuredly nothing to worry about.

The extractor is steel. The case is brass. Burrs will occur on the rim. What you want to look out for are indications of push feeds where the case ends up ahead of the extractor during feeding and the extractor claw snaps over the rim.
