Some of you people are getting too wrapped up in your own beliefs and are failing to remember what we pay Wayne to do.

As VP of the NRA, he is supposed to represent our gun and 2nd amendment interests. That is it.

We don't pay him to defend violent movies or Hollywood. They have enough money and lobbying power that they can defend themselves if attacked.

We don't pay Wayne to defend the video game industry. They too have enough money and lobbying power that they can defend themselves if attacked.

Quite simply, we pay him to defend guns, gun rights and the 2nd amendment. If you have to throw something under the bus to emphasize your point, well, that is called being a lobbyist which is exactly what we pay him to do.

Remember, he is not your moral compass, he is simply a speaker for a SIG that we belong to.

As a side note, our NRA president could not seem less presidential. He left it all to Wayne. Obama didn't leave it to Biden to deliver the attacks (that would have been funny though). Why didn't our prez make the speech?

I think that Mr LaPierre may be quite a bit more versed in public speaking than Mr Keene and that what was said was the cummulation of numerous contributors within the organization.

Mr LaPierre is one of several leaders in the NRA, and as such, more than qualified to speak to the matters at hand.

I agree, the NRA did what it needed to do. They supported our right to keep and bear arms and they offered a workable, real-world solution as opposed to the Left's endless touting of the benefits of reinstating the failed 94 AWB.

Wayne did fine. The nra refuses to give up our second amendment rights. Call your senators and representatives and tell them no new gun control. NO compromises! Donate to the nra-ila!
Now is the time to stand up for your second amendment rights!

Eschewing the values my parents instilled in me is to succeed will lead only to a pyrrhic victory.

I'd rather take the noble approach even if it's harder, slower, and less certain of triumph.

that all sounds great in theory, but in practice, there is nothing noble about losing a fight.....especially not a fight like this.

ide rather fight dirty if it means preserving the 2A, rather than losing my rights at the expense of being noble.

I agree, I am a big fan of video games and stuff and Wayne did not upset me, infact I would call his proposal of preparing schools for an armed attack much more sensible than anything the other side has to offer.
