I saw the most beautiful Ithaca Model 37 today. It had Bicentennial markings on the right side of receiver and a deeply engraved "Made in America by skilled craftsman" or similar on the left side. All the interior parts were engine turned! It is extremely well fitted everywhere and is as new.The stock is a to die for feather crotch satin English Walnut.It comes with a Deerslayer 19" barrel and a 28" Modified rib barrel. They want $695 for it. I will offer 600 or slightly less. Has anybody seen or heard of this model?:confused:

I have one of the bicentennial 37s with the 28in mod barrel..It has a few lite handling marks but I dont think its been fired.....I got it 2nd hand and it does not have the case or belt buckle that they came with new....but it sure is pretty...almost to nice to shoot...

So . . . what are these things? Built in 1976 for the American Bicentennial, I assume?

I love my 37. Now you've got me curious . . . I've never heard of this model.

Don;
One listed on GB 104271996....and thats a pretty good price with the case and buckle...I have seen them NIB listed 4 over $1000...

I "think" my first new Ithaca was a Bicentennial,,,,got it with the smooth bore rifle sighted barrel and a ribbed barrel for $200 OTD.

Dealer even let me make payments on it!!!!

Traded the ribbed barrel on a plain one,,,,nice gun....I did buy me another Ithaca-----it's my only shot gun.

I have two well worn Ithaca 37's. My 20ga was the first shotgun I owned. My dad bought it for I believe my 12 th birthday. Had to cut the stock down so I could shoot it. When I got bigger I just added a slip on rubber Pachmyr recoil pad to make the length of pull longer. Later bought a 37 in 12 ga. Had the barrel cut back and put a Cutts on it. NO ONE WANTED TO SIT IN THE DUCK BLIND WITH ME WITH THAT THING. :D Good lord it was loud! The 20ga will be my first grandchild's if and when they arrive.
