Hello all, new here but seeking knowledge. I have an Ithaca Deer Slayer, smooth bore, rifle sights, guessing 18"barrel. I attempted to sight in with Rem sluggers(standard velocity), and federal Truball 12 ga. The problem is, on every few shots, the slide is stuck, like it will not release to eject the spent round. Also, accuracy is all over the place. I understand that rifled slugs are not known for accuracy, but at 40-5-yds, I get 8" groups. My 870's are much better than that. Any ideas?:banghead:
