After hearing about it on another forum I did some checking and learned that Ithaca is making cantelever slug barrels for the Remington 870 and I think 1100, Browning BPS and Gold, and the Benelli Nova. Priced right at around $150. Called home to dad to dicuss logistics, and we both came to the same conclusion. Ithaca is making picked up a good niche in the market by making barrels for other guns at a much cheaper price than other manufactors.
Decided to contact Ithaca to see if they were making cantelever barrels for 37s at the same price. They are making the barrels but they want $250 for them. Guess when you are the only making the barrels for a particular gun (aside from Hastings which cost the same) you get to set the price whereever you want.
It irks me as I would rather put a cantelever on my model 87, but for the 100 bucks I guess the Nova is going to have to work deer duty.
