Hello,

I just have a couple questions about Ithaca Model 37's.

If I'm correct, and please correct me, Ithaca stopped making 16 gauges in 1973?

Also I was wondering if they ever stopped @ any point making the 20 gauge?

Finally, I was wondering if the older 16 & 20 gauge butt stockes are interchangable?

Thanks for any help,
Steve

I have an Ithaca Model 37 16ga made in 1957 and a 20ga model 37 Ultrafeatherlight made, if I recall correctly, in 1984. They will not interchange because the reciever is considerably smaller on the 20 than the 16. Just as the 16 is smaller than the 12. Hope this helps.

Yes the 16 ga production was stopped around 1973. When Ithaca gun moved to King Ferry the 16 ga was reintroduced. The new Ithaca gun makes them in 12,16,20, and 28 gauge.

As far as I know the production on the 20 has not ceased. To rehash what chas has said the 16 and and 20 ga but stocks wont interchange.
