I recently purchased an Ithaca 900 in perfect condition. A friend of mine won this gun in a raffle back in the 70's and used it one time to rabbit hunt. It is 20 ga. 28 in. with vent rib gold trigger and gold inlay. I think it is recoil model because I can't find adjustment screw for gas setting.I don't have an owners manual and can't find one on internet. My question is how to remove shells from magazine without fireing shotgun. It feeds shells to chamber when shooting but not manualy

You can find a owners manual at steves pages.

There he lists a Model XL300 and a XL900.

The selector for regulating gas ports is located on the right side of the barrel.

It is covered by the forearm wood.

Thanks for the info. There are two models. A gas operated and a recoil operated. Since
mine does not have the selector for the gas regulation it must be recoil operated. That would make it a model 900 deluxe and not the XL900. I am learning.

From the manual:

Remove shells from the magazine by depressing carrier latch button and pushing carrier plate down. Press the shell stop with the thumb and remove shells from magazine.

If you need a copy of the manaul send me a mesage, if recoil you will want to know how to position the brake ring and shoe as it will effect operation with light and magnum loads.

I saw your post on the ithaca 900 recoil. I recently purchased one shipped in pieces and dont know how to set it up or if everything is there. It jams quite often. Would you be able to send me a copy of the manual? I would appreciate it.

I know the recoil 300 & 900 were made by skb in japan. Mine has it stamped on the barrel.

Also need a copy of the Ithaca 900 manual

COK, I have the SKB recoil 12 gauge and need to know how to position the brake shoe & ring. Do you know where I can obtain a copy of the instruction manual.
Thanks
