One of my oldest friends, not a gun owner or a shooter, wanted to shoot the old warhorse, my M1 Garand. Well we got out to the Hap Baker range in Maryland and he lost his PING! virginity. So what does one invariably say once they go all the way with a Garand.........."I have got to get me one of these!!!"
I gotta tell you it does the heart good. Here are a few pictures from the range. I gave him some evil black rifle time as well but of course there really is no comparison to a good ole' Garand.
He had a blast I had a blast, a good time was had by all. Heck the RO had a blast playing with our HK USC with KOBRA and M3 magazine conversion.

If you look close you will see one of those big ole' .30-06 cases flying forward. You will also notice his supporting hand staying far far away from that op rod. I warned him about that and Garand thumb by saying if you do it you will only do it once.
The bird that ate the canary grin.
Looks like a toy don't it??
