Newly acquired S&W 19-3 resting on my Hubertus switchblade---a Homey and Comforting scene.

I had been waiting to see if this 19 went into forfeit and it did. Now my nickel 15-2 has someone to play with. The little guys can compare smeared fingerprint marks.
(I swear I thought my camera had a smeared fingerprint removal button, but it doesn't.)

The Blue Book we use at the shop is about three years old and shows the 19-3s to be a lower price tier than the no-dash, the ones and the twos. It shows a price of $275 for a 90% 19-3-----which actually seems ridiculously low for a pinned and recessed Smith & Wesson.
And I looked at the barrel, it does say "Smith & Wesson", not "Arminius", so I'm pretty sure I'm right about that "ridiculously low" thing.
Anyway, for those that gotta know---$550.
Tomorrow I shoot it and will update this post, if my hand isn't too numb to type.

A 48 round session at the local indoor range, using a single green standard silhouette.

First shot is the ear piercer---

Second six, aiming point was the "7"---

Worst six, using hot loads, aiming point was the "X"---

Next to last six and pretty good. Still going left, though---

Last six---

After 48 the hand looked like this---

The cylinder release on my J frame chews up my thumb just up about a quarter inch from where you got bit

Nice.

It is the same with cars and trucks; Blue Books often do not reflect market prices.

The stags look great with the nickel plate!

A little bit of poetry to commemorate your latest acquisition!

So, it's come to Poetry now, has it? The situation is much more grave than I had thought.
