It's time for another C&R rifle

I have a Yugo Mauser M48A and a couple thousand rounds of 8mm. I am torn between several rifles. A Persian Mauser, beautifual rifles in mint condition and I already own a large supply of 8mm. Or, a Yugo SKS for the fun of it. They are inexpensive, reliable and fun.

If I get the Persian the Yugo Mauser will become my truck box gun. If I get the SKS it will ride with me.

What do you guys think? Also, I don't have any MN's yet.

You can't go wrong with a Yugo SKS. If you want something fairly unique, AIM Surplus still has Albanian SKS for just a little more than the Yugos. The Yugos are nicer looking and better made though.

For a Mosin, I recommend either a 91/59 Carbine or 91/30 rifle(these are onsale for $60!) from AIM or an M39 rifle from WG&A. All three of those are generally very nice and shoot well.

Far be it from me to try to talk anyone out of buying a MN (unless they start getting scarce), but if you've you've got the money, I'd look for a nice Persian Mauser. Or a nice Argentinian, that's next on my list.

Thats a tough choice.You NEED a 91/30 as well as an SKS AND the Persian mauser!
