I've always wanted one but........

I think it varies according to the indvidual. I find +P in a 642 to be enjoyable, but others don't. Glad I rented a P3AT and avoided a bad purchase... for me.

Stoeger Uplander SxS 12 gauge shotgun. I got the cheaper model with double triggers and no recoil pad. I really should have got the one with the recoil pad, and I'd be better off with a single trigger.

It's not the guns fault, it works just fine.

Any of the S&W N-frame .357 magnums. I had drooled over pictures of the Model 27 for a long time but when I picked one up at a gun show I realized how freaking huge and heavy the thing is. The chambers looked like pinholes in that massive cylinder. All this metal and weight for six rounds? No thanks, I'll stick to my K-frames.

Wow...where do I start...First was a Desert Eagle .50 with the changable .44 barrel. Shot about 10-15 rounds and it sat on my shelf as a novelty piece....traded it to a fellow member on the board. (great trade by the way)

300 Win Mag....put about 10 rounds down range and really didn't like it. I'm not a hunter or anything, just like collecting and shooting.....traded it in on a Ruger Mini-14 with bells and whistles.

500 S&W had it for a few years and loved shooting it and even reloaded for it but got rid of it and all my revolvers because I couldn't get powder burns off when I would clean them. (sorry, i'm very anal about keeping my guns clean)

I'd lost interest in them a long time previously, but a few years ago, I got to shoot the full sized Beretta (a 96D) belonging to a transit cop friend of a friend. The grip was too big, the trigger reach too long, and the trigger pull itself more horrifying than the movie "Hostel".

I'm glad I left the Army long ago. I'd hate to have to carry an M9 for my own protection.

Kinda regret a Seecamp 32. It jams every so often and hard to find ammo that will feed reliably.

Same with an AMD65. After the novelty wore off, I only take it out occasionally. The folding stock SIG 556 has taken it's place as a tennis racket bag gun.

A Ruger Mini-14. I had always wanted one so I bought one. Didn't care for it.
Now, one that I've always wanted but just can't justify is a Ruger Blackhawk .44.
When I was in college, all my friends who weren't going to college and had jobs went down and bought one. I've wanted one ever since but just don't know what I would do with it, especially with the price of .44 ammo.

I know it's a great gun made by a great company, but after plinking with 22's for a long time, I wanted a plinker on steroids. The mini14 just would not shoot accurately enough for me to be happy. A friend sold me a cheap marlin boltie in 22mag that drove tacks but still wanted a centerfire rifle

Mini-14
1911
SKS
700 PSS in .300 Win Mag

All worked fine. None stayed in the safe long.

there are more than i 1st thought but for me there are several:

thought i wanted an AK. bought a mak 90 cheap and honestly never liked the way it felt... sold it for $200 more than i paid for it.

mini 14. what a turd. it looks so sexy but dang if i could hit anything with it. made in 1976 too. traded a browning B92 for it. bad idea. traded the mini for a savage 99. it worked out ok.

SKS. i liked it ok. russian built 1953 i think. bought it for a hunerd. horrible fit and lousy trigger. shades of the MAK 90 i guess. it dumped the mag on me more than a few times at the range and doubled once. time to go. sold it at a gun show for a hunerd. i regret that.

sig 220. it never felt right in my hand and it was HUGE in every way. i took a good beating on that one for sure. it functioned fine and was accurate. i just didn't like it.

A Dan Wesson 357 with a 2" barrel. Got it and was not able to find a longer barrel as an option and when all 6 rounds missed at 3 YDS I would only be able to use it as a club as it would not reliably open to reload. I will not even mention the trigger pull either SA or DA as that was poor.:banghead: Sold it at a loss. I traded it for a Davis Industries 380 and never looked back.:D

A taurus judge... Always wanted one for the cool boom factor. Bought one and after i fired it 5 times, i realized how useless it was. Bad groups, the buckshot was useless, and it jammed on every shot with the firing pin sticking in the primer... never again...

Out of all the toys an Army Infantry armorer can play with, I wanted to get into a jeep with an M40 106mm rifle. Once was enough. I did fall in love with the M2HB 50 cal. Browning machine gun. It was a lot of fun set for semi auto at 1000 yds and a teloscopic sight. It was even more fun at night in moonlight with a starlight scope at 500 yds, This was in 1968 in Germany and I was the only starlight qualified armorer in the Berlin Brigade when I got there.

k98 mauser. it was a nice rifle, but i bought it on impulse. The ammunition was pretty expensive, and because of that i felt guilty shooting. It was a hacked up milsurp stock. If it were original, i probably wouldve kept it

Always like the look of the UZI and to a lesser extent the MAC series of guns. The UZI felt "okay" but not great and the MAC felt like something made in a highschool metal shop. Add in the fact of how you can buy 30rd extended mags for alot of handguns and the appeal is even less. Nothing super about either of them.
