........Italian stilettos at a website called " UniqueBlades ". Has anyone dealt with this site? Would like to know their reliability. Heard stories about Italian knives being hung up in Customs because they're shipped from overseas. I don't feel like dealing with hassles like that. Here's their site:

Any input from any of their past customers would be great. Especially if you purchased one of their " real Italian Stilettos " ( Their labeling ).

From their site (I have had no personal dealings with them)

[knife] that screams high class for your day to day law enforcement or military needs these are your knives!

There's the rub. All I see on their page are push-button auto knives. They won't get hung up in customs for being foreign - they'll get hung up because they're restricted by federal and state law (I'm from PA too, though not a lawyer).

If you want something that looks and acts like a stiletto (i.e. something legal for carry in PA) have a look at Cold Steel's Ti-Lite series, or I think Smith & Wesson makes some of their HRT knives in single-edge style.

The skeptic in me says they could take your money and ship the package, and your loss if the package gets picked out and confiscated somewhere in shipping.. but again, I've never bought from them.

EDIT: Perhaps I should clarify - switchblades are legal for law enforcement and military only, speaking generally. There are restrictions on shipping and receiving them across state lines, and while you can own one here in PA you can't carry it. I forget if we're a state that lets you carry one if you've only got one arm..

Most of what they have is horrible garbage and surprised that they're still in business. OTOH, some like the Frank Beltrame knives are ok. Use a credit card so you can deny the charges should they fail to send a knife in a reasonable amount of time.

Bringing switchblades into the US is a Customs violation. Any switchblade. If you want a switchblade in your collection buy at a gun/knife show and look for a quality knife. While you'll never be able to get any service on it you'll have less chance of getting a Chinese piece of garbage.
