IWB holster for full sized 1911?

I'm looking for a IWB holster for a full sized 1911 with really no price limit. My only concern is that I will most likely be recieving my CHL within the next 1-2 months and I would like to have the holster by then. I was looking into the Versa Maxx 2 and some other high quality holsters and have no problem paying the price it's just that the wait time is to long. I am willing to order the custom holster, but I will need a cheaper one to hold me over until I recieve my Versa Maxx 2. So any suggestions on a decent IWB holster for a Kimber Custom II would be greatly appreciated while I wait for my Versa Maxx 2. Thanks for your time.

If money is no issue, occasionally you can find a VMII on ebay. Its a bit faster than the long wait time. I also see holsters ready to wear at gun shows as well.

I've picked several used holsters off E-bay, auctionarms and gunbroker for about half the new price. The Sparks Summer Special is a great holster as is the Alessi Talon Plus.

If you need it now, Galco Royal Guard or Summer Comfort (despite its name I find the SC less comfortable), or Don Hume PCCH.

UBG has the quality without the long wait; my "Canute" took about five weeks.

I've had good luck with a Galco Royal Guard.....though I prefer my Alessi GWH. If you know anyone that can order from BROWNELLS for you, they usually stock Milt Sparks Summer Specials II's for 1911, at a reasonable price.

Try lightening arms or top gun supply for in stock Versamax II's. They often put in large orders. Also look around for KD holster's dakota defender. A very close VMII copy.

IMHO, choose a holster with the belt loops on either side of the weapon. That puts the minimum amount of material between the weapon and your pants. I like this one from UBG holsters.

Milt Sparks VMII or Watch Six. It is worth the wait. In the mean time I would consider the Safariland Model 27 as a temporary solution. I prefer holsters that have two points of attachment that are offset from the gun.

Another vote for http://ubgholsters.com I was one of his first customers and have been back for more. His work is excellant . I tried a sparks summer special to thick and uncomfortable. I will never have another .

+1 VMII and you might as well plan on selling that one you getting for temp because after you slide on that Milt Sparks you won't wear anything else!
