I like to ask I have a set of bases that do not give me enough eye relief only because the LOP on the stock is 14 1/2 " my set up for me runs around 13 1/2
I can make it work only if I move the rear base to the last hole on the action.
I would have 2 hole(screw set) on the front base and 1 hole(screw set) on the rear base mount :I was thinking in adding some J@B to the rear base were no screw is tapped
I would have 3 screws set up
I wonder has any one tried this?to remove the rear base set with J@B a little heat will do the job
I hate to spend 40.00 buck for a special base

You lose nothing by trying it. Better option would be to drill/tap two more holes using the base to locate them. The current rear holes would become the front holes for the bases.

JB Weld is brittle

I don't think JB Weld will work. I believe it will shatter off at first recoil. We use tubes of it (prefer JB Quick) working on cars. The way we clean the screwdriver used to apply it, is to hit it with a hammer when dry. JB Weld shatters and falls off, leaving the tip clean metal again... I think the same will happen under your base with any decent recoil.
