TC contender scope base mount & rings

HI, I want to put a scope on my TC & have a couple of ?s. How to remove the rear factory sight and what do any of you prefer on the base & rings as to brands?
Will the existing screw holes match up with the base mount? Looking at the weaver elite 2-6 power.

You loosen and remove the windage screw on top of the rear sight. This will give you access to the sight mounting screws underneath.Remove them and the sight comes off. Weaver type,or Redfield type mounts both work fine for most calibers.If you shoot a high recoiling round,the Weaver type will allow you to use three or four rings to keep that scope in place.The holes will match up with the correct mount,as this is what they are for.Your scope choice should work well with any standard caliber.
