Trying to find the manufacturer of a J.C. Higgins Model 101.16 sold by Sears-Roebuck & Company. .22 short, long, or long rifle; long rifle only as automatic.

Looking for the manufacturer of the rifle and am trying to locate a tubular magazine for the rifle if possible. Thanks for your help.

Most gunsmiths have stock on hand and can fabricate a tube for you. I've bought tube and rebuilt my own using the end lock, spring and follower. I just thought; you are talking about the inner magazine tube, right? If that inner mag tube is lost then it is a little more involved but still not serious.

Thanks

Thanks for the help. That was what we were looking for. The gun is my grandfathers. He is 78 and struggling with cancer. He gave all of his guns to my dad who is cleaning and refinishing all of them. The .22 is in good condition, other than a small crack in the stock with was caused by a tractor. The metal had some rust on it but after refinishing it, it looks good with no pitting damage from the rust. Yes, we were looking for the inner magazine tube. Thank you for your help.
