If you are thinking about pocket carry, one of the favorites of the S&W 642/442 snubby owners on THR is
Robert Mika's custom built pocket holster. I have several. A former cop, he was making him for himself, for his BUG. and buddies kept buying them from him, so he set up the business. He builds each one when ordered, your choice of round or square cut to fit your pocket style.
Be aware that pocket carry is great for carry and concealment, but not so good for rapid presentation, especially when under stress like being attacked. Best bet is to find an instructor who works on concealed carry defensive use, and talk about where and how to carry: pocket, strong side, appendix, inside or outside waistband. Many choices.
I carried a 642 in my pocket for over ten years, never got training. Now i am doing real training and have changed to strong side inside the waistband 9mm most of the time. But the Mika holster in my pocket is still an occasional option depending on what i am wearing and where I am going.
Good luck.
