What would be your choice for a pro-RKBA catch phrase uttered by the golden-throated, pro-gun James Earl Jones?

Buy Ammo, Use Up, Repeat.
Blam, Blam, Blam, Blam, Blam, Blam, Blam, Blam, Ping!
"Bother" said Pooh, as he chambered another round.
Molon Labe!
"An armed society is a polite society".
The right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Other (please post)

:D

All good phrases, but, could we get him to do it in the Darth Vader Voice:D

2nd choice would be the CNN voice.:neener:

I am having a lot of trouble imagining JEJ saying "Ping!"

Unless he was also doing an uncanny impersonation of James Mason at the same time, maybe.

I voted for "Blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, ping!" because I keep hearing him say it in my head in his CNN voice and it cracks me up.:neener:

I like number five, but I'd add to it...

"The right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed....IT IS YOUR DESTINY!" :D

-James

How about what he really said?
The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise they will win and the decent people will lose.

and this link.

These links are all to collections of quotes in which Mr. Jones's statement appears. There are other good quotes in there, too. I haven't traced any to original sources, though.

But I'd just love for him to do a voice-over for a commercial showing parents and kids out busting clay birds -- maybe as a final shot shows a beaming kid carrying in a pheasant:

"Buy Ammo, Use Up, Repeat."

Wow, another James Earl Jones thread!

(My subliminal sig must be affecting everyone- finally!)

How about:
"That wasn't very sporting, using real bullets."

;)

I voted "An armed society is a polite society" because it's short and sweet, and I think that would roll out in his voice quite nicely.

He is one of the few "celebrities" I've ever met. Got my picture with him and he autographed it later :) Real nice guy, VERY imposing, both physically and force of character.

That's from "North by Northwest". James Mason says it near the end. Good quote. :)

How about "You don't know the POWER of the Longslide"

Or "Don't overestimate the power of that puny 9mm, the ability to carry 15, is insignifigant, next to the power of the .45"

"Oh, they will shoot, Ray. They will most definately shoot, for it is ammo they have, but justice they lack."

Aiming M-1 from sitting
"This, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, pling is the sound of freedom" as 8 holes appear in 200 yd bull.

I'd like to hear him say the full Second Amendment, But I'd also like to hear him recite Patrick Henry's "Give Me Liberty" speech... that would give me chills.

James Earl Jones has to be one of my favorite actors. :)

+1, that would be really cool.

"Infidel Defilers. They shall all drown in lakes of blood."

...hmm, on second thought- maybe not.
:p

.

I would love to hear James earl jones booming Vader-like with some of the great qoutes of U. S. history like

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." -- Samuel Adams

OR vader-like

"Join me and together we can protect this country... brother to brother"
that would truly be cool

or
"Don't underestimate the power of the free man"

or
"Search your feelings. You know it be true. Guns save lives"

love this line but how to make it work
"All too easy. "

ok I'll stop

Second Amendment all the way. Having him say that other stuff would be like putting a clown ornament on a Jaguar. What a waste.

I wonder what it would cost to get him to do a professional reading of the second amendment for release under a Creative Commons license.

I found his agent but his agent is presently in jail for fraud (committed against the clients he represents!) so I am not quite sure how to contact him for booking at this time. I was hoping to get a ballpark figure for what kind of collection we'd have to take up to do this.

EDIT: And if we do this, I want to lobby to have "BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM *ping!*" tossed in for free. :)
