They can’t do anything as it is either. Even if it HAS to go back to the mothership then it has to be unloaded to do so.tried to force the slide both ways no go guess I'm going to the gun shop
Im sure someone or at least a gunsmith at his LGS can knock it loose. Bet it only takes them less than 5 minutes to do so.They can’t do anything as it is either. Even if it HAS to go back to the mothership then it has to be unloaded to do so.
That was kinda my point, they are going to do the same things as have been suggested here, with the simple caveat being that it’s not their gun and they will care much less about banging on it and destroying it than the owner.Im sure someone or at least a gunsmith at his LGS can knock it loose. In my opinion there's a serious problem. A squib round that bulged the barrel, a bulged chamber, broken frame rails. Things like that.tried to force the slide both ways no go guess I'm going to the gun shop
Kroil oil down the barrel will work wonders, let set few minutes and slight bump with wood dowel will bring her out.
No I misunderstood original post thought it was a squib, however kroil oil alone is the answer pour it in barrel and in short time it should loose so the round can be ejected with slide, I suspect the round was a steel case or chamber very dirty. Now it's entirely possible that I'm misunderstanding you but are you suggesting that the poster should put a wooden dowel down the barrel on top of a live round and try to pop it out?

I have heard of that exact method being used for pushing out squibsThere's a trick that mechanics use to drive out pilot bushings by using grease and pushing the grease to get the bushing out. I actually watched a video where they used bread instead of grease.
Makes me wonder if that would work if all you had was wooden dowel.
Pack the barrel with grease, fit the dowel either by sanding down or building it up tape or whatever and then give it a whack.
