It's (allegedly) a clip from a Japanese TV show that teaches people rudimentary English phrases for use in everyday situations while on holiday in foreign parts.

This one deals with getting mugged.

Is it my imagination, or does the mugger with the upside-down bandana :)confused: ) look and sound startlingly like George Costanza in Seinfeld?

***

Everytime I seen some TV program coming out of Japan I just get more confused. What is with the aerobics girls, the upside down face mask. "I don't know who robbed me officer, I could not see his nostrols:scrutiny: Actually its a good skill that they are showing someone who does not know how to speak the language, how to go to the police to report the robbery, but the "spare me my life, and take anything you want" lines, that part is not good.

I saw that posted before but it didn't have the "muggers" the "facemasks" are pretty funny, almost funnier than everything else.

another video on that site proves that you don't need a gun to be an idiot and do something stupid, if the kids were hurt or killed who or what would these idiots blame it on. I must admit though it cracked me up, if I saw it in person though I'd walk up to the idiots and ask them what they thought they were doing.

Can you say Racist!

This Portrayal of a western man as a stupid thief :uhoh: with a much smarter eastern one offends:barf: , or is this an training video of what to do when they come over here for our superior colleges and are confronted by someone asking directions. Seeing this level of their ignorance is offensive, just tell them to stay home.:fire:

One more thing: Japanese tourist are the rudest of all I have ever seen, they cut in line, they think they are better, they get preferred seating when flying, and they are without a doubt some of the worst drivers I have ever seen.

All I get from it is the Japanese making fun of their own culture. They have some seriously bizarre comedy routines. As for the Japanese being the rudest, ignorant, and offensive, that's in every culture around the globe. You have bad and good people in Japan, China, Mongolia, Turkey, Russia, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, England, Canada, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, etc, etc, even in the good ol' US of A.

You are correct in that Japan dose not have the market cornered on rude tourists. :what: I travel quite a bit but I have had more problems with the Japanese in this county than any other. :fire: It dose not matter what part of the US you are in they are rude. While on the “Bright Angle trail” in the Grand Canyon I saw several of them squat and take a dump on the trail :what: rather than go to the facilities, :fire: in what part of the US would that not be considered rude. :cuss: In EPCOT they waltzed to the front of the line like they owned the place,:fire: In Chicago they will run you off the road, :cuss: In Glacier National they take the handicap parking spaces when the lot is congested rather than walk a little, :scrutiny: in Hawaii they act like they won the war, I could go on for pages here but you get the drift. No not all of them act that way just the ones that are over here visiting.;)

I spent a year in Japan while in the Corps. I found with very little exception, the Japanese people to be so polite that they would not speak to a stranger until spoken to. On a crowded train, bus or street I would be seemingly ignored until I would ask for directions then everyone I had met went out of their way to be of help. Once while riding my motorcycle I became so lost I found myself on a foot path on a berm between two rice patties. I called out to a group of folks working the patty and an old fellow under a coolie hat came slogging over to me and I asked if he could direct me back to a paved road that would take me back to Kawajima. He called out to the others and every person, maybe 15 or so came over and put together enough English to get me on my way but first I was invited to dinner with the family. What a wonderful evening I had.:)
