your thoughts and oppinions, i traded for an BRYCO JENNINGS MODEL NINE 9mm today new in the box 2 mags. shoots good feels good in the hand, was impressed with it's weight and handeling.
anyway tell me what you think about this gun wish i could post pics but not sure how to on here..
thanks kenny:eek:

Most consider them bottom of the barrel guns. Some folks luck out and end up with a decent one but I personally own 2 of the 22 models and have zero faith in them. I'm really curious what you traded for it.

If you traded it for a pocket calculator you done OK, but if you gave up your toaster oven you got the short end of the stick.

The value in good condition is in the $40-$50 range.

Most people say that the metal isn't hardened - in fact it is described as being made of potmetal.

I personally had one. I sold it a week after i got it. I sold it to a friend of mine, and the worst possible thing happened. He was firing and the gun BLEW UP!!!. I dont just mean a crack appeared, i'm talkin the slide actually came nearly totally off of the pistol, kinda at an angle and stuck like that. Luckily he was wearing eye protection. He sent it back to Jennings, and they replaced it free. He then sold the replacement without shooting it. Horrible guns. Aweful. Junk. Garbage. Crap. Do yourself a favor and sell it now, before u get hurt.

A similar thing happened to a friend of mine with a Charter Arms Bulldog .44spl. The cylinder quite litterally blew up and he's lucky he didn't lose his hand. And to top it off, it took Charter Arms an entire year to replace it for him. Awful customer service!

I wouldn't trust my life with a Charter Arms revolver, and I sure as hell wouldn't trust my life with a Jennings. They have a tendency to go off accidentally, with no touch to the trigger. I met one dumb@$$ who kept a loaded Jennings .22 cocked and locked in his back right pocket. I figure it'll pierce his cheeks long before anyone tries to mug him. I hope that moron has since followed my advice and sold the living daylights out of it. Or, better for the world, tossed it in a fireplace and forgotten about it!

I'm anxious to know what was traded for the Jennings... If it was anything above a chewed-on pencil I'm afraid I'm going to have to weep on your behalf... But since its yours now, enjoy it! Or sell it for a box of good ammo for something else. If you're in the market for small cheapies, have you ever considered a Kel-Tec? They're good quality, especially for the money. Well, that's my personal opinion, anyway...

Chaulk it up s a lesson learned. We all make a opoops now and then. Hoepfully this one didn't cost you very much. Soooo...what did you trade off to get it? :uhoh:

I would not trade my HP48G for one of those

You know what I meant.;)

I've got a Casio CFX-200 that should be good for about 15 Jennings 9mm's:p

I never trade unless I'll come out on top. Last week, I swapped my Taurus PT145 for a Black maxx 7.5 HP 80 gallon compressor(Made by Sanborn, now sold as Coleman Industrial series). $300 gun for a $1,800 compressor

guys traded a pellet rifle for it but can trade it back with no problem, and after reading all the negatives think i will. was told to check it out good and if i didn't like it, i could return it. so back it goes.
again thanks for all the info, thats the good thing about THR good honest people on here.:)

I hope this doesn't sound condescending, but please ask before making these trades. Nobody needs to possess a Davis, Raven Arms, or Bryco gun.:uhoh:

If it is any consolation, Jennings (along with Lorcen, Raven and Davis) are --in my first hand experience with federal drug cases and bail skips-- the top choice of gun on the street. And by that I mean drug dealers. You know the type: felons so they can't own a firearm to begin with, addicts that can't afford anything quality, and dealers who are more concerned about selling then knowing their @$$ from applebutter when it comes to firearms...

I guess when you need every penny you've got to buy crank, a $50 .22 or .32street piece is appealing. But for anyone who respects their own well-being: stay away.

You're returning it to get your pellet gun back? SMART man. You will go places, my friend. You'll to do better to keep that pellet gun for defense than the Jennings. Good idea checking here before you committed to it, too!

Good plan.

For an inexpensive 9mm, go Star BM. ~$150. Or even a Hi-point (if you can stand to look at the thing:barf: )

For a 9mm you'll love for years and years to come that still won't break the bank, CZ-75, TZ-75 (Witness), Baby Eagle, used S&W 39xx or 59xx. There are others as well that can be had for <$400 that will shoot nice and last a lifetime.
