I was wondering what you guys thought of IWI's Baby Eagle pistols(also known as Jericho 941)

I've mostly heard that they're good reliable guns, but I wanted to see what you all thought.

Also, I'd really appreciate any advice from people with first-hand experience with this gun.

I love my .45 as it is very accurate and pleasant to shoot. The fit and finish is excellent and the thing exudes quality. About the only drawback is a general lack of aftermarket stuff - although you can get nite sights and a few other things. Mine's a keeper...

I love my baby eagle. As NIGB said its fun to shoot. Mine has been accurate. The only thing I would change would be the slide. I wish it was a little bigger, but it is a semi compact so...This has been my "work" gun since I bought it.

I have a Full size steel BE in 9mm is is great, mine has the frame mounted safety, no de-cocker, which I love. I don't think I would buy one with the slide mounted safety/de-cocker myself. Mine has been great. It is a dream to shoot follow up shots are quick, I don't think that fit and finish is up to par with the original CZ75 but I got mine new for $280 so I can't complain too much. They are pretty good but as mentioned after market holster ect can be a little hard to find. I sometimes carry mine in a highnoon holster that works well.
Good Luck and Be Safe!

I routinely shoot CCI aluminum in mine and no problems at all. I actually prefer the slide mounted decocker as it's convenient and I prefer it to a safety.

As I understand it, IWI buys components from Tanfoglio and finishes the pistol itself...

Magnum Research is the American subsidiary of IMI... similar to the Japanese and Korean Mega-conglomerates, Israel has a few. IWI has the same board of directors, but a different focus in terms of what it designs...

Well, my brother went ahead and bought the gun.

He disassembled it for the first time, and upon reassembly, the barrel would wiggle when the slide is locked back.

Is this normal?

Is there any way to fix it?

I have one in .40. In my experience with it has been 100% reliable and is quite accurate. It plays no favorites with ammo- fires them all (ok its maybe partial to 165 gr Double Taps:evil:)

In regards too holsters, I use a Bianchi Accumold. It is formed for a Sig 226 strangely, but fits good anyhow. I would imagine CZ75/EAA holster would be fine.
