Jericho, the TV series about post atomic war USA resumes on February 21st with the 2nd half of its debut season. This show has firearms and the use of firearms in every episode. It looks like firearms will play an even larger role in the story in the episodes to come.

If you missed the 1st half of the season you can watch the 1st 11 episodes online at http://www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/

This show is one of my favorites and I recommend it to all adults.

Just a thought

When I was in High School I had to read and analyze the book "ALAS BABYLON." Approx the same idea as Jericho the TV show. I haven't had a chance to get into the series because I work late Wednesdays to make up leaving early Mondays for 24. Mans gotta have his priorities. Has anyone else read Alas Babylon and as far as a SHTF what did you think?

Yea, I read that book! Thanks for reminding me of the name. I wanted to read it again and couldn't remember the title.

I can't remember too much except the sense of the community banding together. I do remember some folks getting radiation sickness from looted gold.

Going off now to buy me a copy....

All 11 episodes have been shared Torrent style.
Maybe it won't die as easily as firefly.
So much of the subject matter is suspect.

I've never seen the show, only trailers. I have a hard time believing CBS would ever air anything positive about firearms or gun ownship.

Regardless of CBS's bias about firearms, the show is, in my opinion, at worst neutral, and maybe positive in regard to firearms. So far firearms are prominently owned and carried by ordinary folks in the show, and have been successfully used in defense several times.

Jericho is actually one of the few shows on TV I like, and to which I'm looking forward to returning.

I just wish the writers were more brutal...

everything seems to work out for the heroes. They haven't lost one yet

Watched a couple of episodes. Looked like a slow motion soap opera to me.

Would rather read a good book anytime.

I love the show. 24, Prison Break, and Jericho are my no miss TV. As for Jericho, it stars Gerald McRamey and if I remember correctly he is a pro-gun hollywoodite. And the show stars Ashley Scott who is absolutely gorgeous. She alone is worth the hour spent watching the show.

While there aren't any NEW episodes until Feb 21st, the series actually returns this Wednesday (Feb 14th), with "re-cap" of all previous episodes.

I like the show,but....

IN the real world the people in a town like that would have grabbed their guns a lot sooner than they did on the show.
A lot sooner!

otherwise it is not bad enterteinment, and I shall continue to watch it.

Author Pat FraNK.

Yes he is, he is one of the good guys out there. He does videos for the NRA and other pro 2nd amendment stuff.

Yeah, I read Alas Babylon back in high school, but dude you are talking about 35 years ago. I remember the premise, and the use of the phrase, and that is about it.
Haven't see Jericho, only see trailers for it (and I did not ever know Gerald McRaney was in it!)

Alas Babylon was required reading, and one of my favorite books. Treid to watch the first episode on the net, and got distracted. Is there a way to download all episodes? Got lot's of unused disc space...

Jericho is a great show. IMHO one of the few network shows worth watching. Tomorrow night's (Feb. 14) episode is supposed to be some kind of retrospective on what has transpired thus far, then the Feb. 21 show will be the first new episode.

Love the show. It is a 'bit P.C.' though. The good guys use bolt actions, and SxS shotguns. Bad guys use M-16's.
In one of the first shows escaped con's, with Beretta's, are taken out by a woman with a SAA, and a guy with a .357. Guess the Libs are just warming us up for the future.
