wow, that does look like fun. seems like the lim fac would be ability to see the target after 3-4 rounds. is hornady still using smokeless powder? heh

That doesn't seem to apply to JM. If you see his reactions on his videos it's clear as day that this guy loves what he does. Heck, he was having fun just knowing what he about to do. Great video. There's a few more vids they shot that same day that are pretty entertaining too.
 
Man, I don't even like being at the same range as .50 BMG!

Yeah, but he has to tell everyone he's sponsored by Cheaper Than Dirt! I'll keep my day-job.
 
Why don't you like being at the range when a .50 is there? When myself and other guys that I shoot .50's with show up, the range is at our benches. People like the .50's as far as I can tell and when we let them shoot our rifles for free they line up!

Of course everyone comments on the blast and pressure wave but the .50 Cal smile is something that lasts longer then any pressure wave. I would take his job in a heartbeat! Any gunnie that wouldn't needs to question why they like guns as a hobby.

I'm a Locomotive Engineer and there are railfans that would love to have my job. Me, I could walk away from it at the drop of a dime! Grass isn't greener on the other side, trust me, railroads are a business and they ain't pretty! They coined the phrase railroad barons for a reason and if they could do away with my job they would do it at the drop of a dime.

H*ll yes I would take his job!
 
it is awesome yes! But it looks to me that the ammo is not anywhere near normal full horse power loads. Otherwise the rifle would have to move more than that. The rifle probably has been modified for that type of ammo.

Still cool as heck to watch!
 
He is one of a kind like ole' Karamajo Bell. Bell could kill single animal from large running herd at 200m with iron sighted sporting rifle. He also used .256 Mannlicher for elephant hunting. Those that tried this with elephants quickly ended up in cemeteries.

People say that about his pistol shooting too, the guy has Popeye forearms, pretty much nothing moves much when he shoots it!

Jerry M always acts like a pro in all his videos. The sport of shooting is so much better with him in it. I like his attitude and "young boy" style.
