I'm sitting here watching Jerry Miculek on the History Channel. :what:

I hate to say this but that guy ISN'T HUMAN!

6 Shots - 3 targets - 2 hits per target all in less than a second. :banghead:

So I broke out my S&W 686 which is what it looked like he was shooting and just tried pulling the trigger 6 times in less than a second. :scrutiny: ROFLMFAO!!! No freaking way could I ever do that.

I've seen some Grand Master Rated guys at IPSC shoots shoot revolvers who are fast but I don't think even they can shoot 6 shots in less than a second and hit what they're aiming at.

A machine - that's what he is... Yeah that's the ticket - a machine. ;)

I watched that too. Pretty amazing. I can't even shoot a 22-auto rifle that fast. I imagine the bad guy that was trying to hurt him and he had his favorite six gun.... he hits what he shoots at too.

Jerry Miculek is amazing.

I listened to his pointers really carefully, about keeping your eye on the front sight (not he target) and learning to pull as soon as the trigger re-sets. Trigger control's much more important than sighting, he says...

I'm going to the range tomorrow - I wanna see if any of that helps me shoot any faster. :D

I've seen him give a shooting demonstration in person, with the naked eye, from about 10 yds away - I STILL can't understand how he does it... :what:

BTW, he can also shoot a S&W 5906 like that(although somehow it just isn't quite as impressive as it is when he's shooting a revolver).

I've got a commercially-recorded VHS tape of him showing how to do an action-job on a Smith K-frame, and it shows some of his trick shooting clips in the beginning. 6 shots, reload, and 6 more, all on target, all in less than 3 seconds. Absolutely astonishing. Between him running a DA revo, and Munden fast-drawing and shooting a SA, I don't know what's the most amazing. I just hang my head in envy.

I'll bet a lot of us would regard Miculek's accomplishments with less awe if we burned up 10,000 rounds a month in serious practice (plus an equal or greater amount of dry firing) over a period of 10 years . . . ;)

I got my copy in the mail yesterday and really enjoyed it. His abilities are truly stunning. When they show him in "slow-mo", its like me shooting real time!!! If you blink, you'll miss it. Anyway, I'll have to watch the video dozens of times to pull the wealth of information out of it, including grip and trigger control (especially trigger release). One of the more amazing things he did was hit a steel target that appeared to be at most 2 feet in diameter 3 out of 6 times from 300 yards away (he did use a scope at first to find a point of aim, still pretty amazing)! I believe he did it with his S&W 625. Whatever it was, it was a 4".

Very impressive!
