Jessie Jackson to lead nationwide gun protest

Well surprise surprise. The 28th of August is the day that Missouri's PTA law becomes obsolete. No more begging the sheriff for a paper allowing you to purchase a handgun. There will be far more handguns sold on this day in Missouri than Jesse Jackass can count. I really really hope one of his cities in in this state, and he shows up.

Guys i remember when a young man here got shot by the cops then all at once Rev. All Sharpton comes here trying to stir up mess, saying the cop's killed this black male was a injustice,Well the F.B.I AND Others looked into the "Marcus hus case" and found out that the shooting was a good one,If you watch the cop cam video you can see that they gave him chance after chance to drop the cell phone,to the cops it looked like a small hand gun he was pointing at them, but he did not drop it after many times asking him to comply,he started to run away then turned around and pointed it again at the cops.Well all said this was injustice because the man who the cops shot was a black man:Well i am a black male and i stand behind what cops done.
The young man should have complyed.

The anti's are always trying to find a way of getting rid of "the so called problem" When we know the bad guys are always going to find a way of getting what ever weapon they want to do what they want to do.There are already too many laws on the books that don't get enforced, but don't tell this to a anti ,Oh no we need to get rid of them all.Assult weapons are not needed, when we know by stats it's not the assult weapons but the regular hand guns that are involved in the shootings. We don't need to fuel the anti's
fuel. We need to support the issues we need to and try to explane to others
what is real and what is not.If we realy care about our rights we will do everything we can to support the ones who are fighting for the second amend. There are too many who will just stick there head in the sand and do nothing.Start writting your congressman, state reps, and sen, speak out and up for what we know is right.I send out congrads to my senator for her actions in last weeks vote, and also on the so called "gag ruling" kudoos to her on both votes,i thank the state of florida for what they voted on.Lets keep on talking and letting the ones who need to know know.I thank you guys for allowing me on this sight, you guys rock with info, and comradeship

“We have the right to live safe and secure, no matter where we live in America,”

Hey at least he got one thing right... but wait, doesn't that mean no matter what city you live in you should have the right to arm yourself for your family's safety and security? Don't think JJ quite gets it.

I'm not entirely convinced most days that the antis aren't in league with the bad guys.

Jesse is out for Jesse.
I think everybody sees that-even his fans.
Maybe he's starting to realize this and decided to choose a popular leftist rant to get more exposure.

Justus Brothers

The Justus Brothers make me puke. They are nothing more than self-aggrandizing, shameless, self-promoting opportunists. It amazes me that the Black population hasn't seen through these charlatans...

Something tells me I'm not going to see anything from this around my parts. ^_^

30 years solitary confinement for all those found wearing gang clothing or insignia,

Well, that would mean alot of innocent people would get picked up and arrested for wearing something that they did not know was gang-related. Think back to the Crips and Bloods. How many innocent people were gunned down by rival members based SOLELY on the fact that some person happened to be wearing either a red or blue bandana, not realizing it's significance?

I don't want "common sense." I want civil rights. I am willing to accept the risks that come with individual freedom. I want every young black man -- and every other person -- to be treated as an individual human being, not as a potential crime statistic. But now Jesse Jackson wants "common sense"?

Furthermore, a gun store is more highly regulated and more carefully watched by State and Federal Governments than any other establishment. If Chuck's had sold guns to anyone who is a known criminal, they'd be out of business at the very least.

I applaud this post.

Just more babble from a person who wants to continue to be important and rich . It's all about self promotion.

Sad that anyone gives him the time of day. He's got nothing important to contribute. He makes a living off his color - not his contributions.

What's fascinating is that the Rev. Jesse has forgotten that the right to keep and bear arms was only RECENTLY allowed to extend to Negros after 1871; and that it took decades (Generations!) of demanding their rights guaranteed in the Constitution for them to finally achieve more-or-less equality about 2 generations ago; and now Rev Jackson is bound and determined to get that right taken away.

Irony, thy name is Rev Jesse Jackson.

Screw Jesse Jackson. Just another "Detroit Red" "X" wanna-be.

That, he will never be. Not even close to the radical ideas of Malcolm X. Malcolm X liked guns.:D

I think I can squeeze another firearm purchase in on August 28 this year, just to drive the point home. To aggravate the situation, I just might order the item from Chuck's.

The Rev Jackson is reaching his attention quota.

Well now, this could be interesting.... Aug. 28, 2007 is when SB62/41 goes into effect in Missouri, and when many of us who worked for its passage are going to purchase a handgun. (without the Sheriff's Permit to Acquire... no more "mother may I")

I sure hope Jesse is blocking the way to my gunshop that day...

He should keep his day job as race pimp. At least he is mildly amusing at that profession.

“We have the right to live safe and secure, no matter where we live in America,” Rev. Jackson said during a prayer vigil at Chuck’s Gun Shop in this Chicago suburb.

That's why many of us have firearms, to ensure we live safe and secure from the criminals Jackson otherwise is in reality supporting.

...Jesse Jackson's constituents...
Don't you have to be ELECTED to something, anything, to have constituents? Other than media attention and conservative ire, what qualifications or proof of leadership or claim of speaking for anyone does Mr. Jackson possess?

what qualifications or proof of leadership or claim of speaking for anyone does Mr. Jackson possess?

A loud mouth, no conscience, and a large number of people who don't want the inconvenience of thinking for themselves.

I think making that day "buy a gun day" would be great. I've be willing to hold off my next purchase until then just for that. One thing I'd consider about a counter protest, leave the side-arms at home. Whether it's loaded or not, should there be a scuffle using fists, packing the gun makes it assault with deadly weapon. Perhaps not right, but likely to hear in court. Stick with the signs that say "I own a gun, I've never killed anybody." etc.
