Jet Li - War

Yeah Jet Li was using a P99. Funny, I didn't know they chambered those in 5.7  There was an actual Five SeveN in there as well, forgot who was using it.

The movie was atrocious. How anyone could screw up something that could so easily have been cool is beyond me. Cory Yuen knows what he's doing, Jet Li and Jason Statham know what they're doing - but the camera guy must have a long resume of Steven Seagal movies to his credit. Seriously, how many different camera cuts do you need to show one move? Apparently, 37 is the answer. Oh, and the "twist?" Of course you don't see it coming - because it's completely ridiculous.

Yup, noticed that too. You even see the FiveSeven Magazine as he loads the 5.7 into the magazine, with the wall of P99s to the left.

At first Jason Statham said they were DU (Depleted Uranium) rounds, then they said they were titanium bullets. What the eff?

Some of my friends hate me pointing those kinda stuff out. During Bourne Ultimatum's SIG Pro/Glock switch, one of my friends told me "Man, these kinda mistakes we don't notice must ruin movies for you..."

"yeah..."

Yeah, I believe one of the bad guys was using a Five-Seven. Jason had a compact Beretta (not sure of which model). The movie was ho hum. It could have been alot better. Still, I enjoyed some of the Asian mobster characters.

I was pretty disappointed in this one as well. I typically don't watch movies for any type of tactical advice but one can't notice the b-movie quality that resonates in WAR. I really like the "sniper" in the overwatch position on the night club that was utilizing a red visible laser...And how many 2-man FBI stake out teams are going to go run and gun on a night club that erupts in automatic gun fire...Hopefully Clooney will do a better job in "The Kingdom".

Li used a DU bullet loaded into titanium cases, fired from Walther P99. Yeah, that concept is pure Hollywierd. (A real gun nut could tell us which trigger version that P99 used :D )

Statham used a Beretta Cougar, can't tell which caliber.

Not a great movie but I enjoyed it. And that is all that counts.

Bart Noir
Who really likes the Beretta rotary barrel design.

sorta lame but that one random girl that delivered the "gift" to Jet Li made the whole dang movie! WOW~!

"I thought they were just going to rough you up..."

I had to pick my jaw up after that one. Yea that was the lamest thought train ever expressed in a movie. EVER!

Sorry that's not a Clooney flick unless he's hiding under a different name...
I'm not sorry it isn't a Clooney flick...not sorry at all!:D

The Kingdom preview looked good...hopefully it won't be too biased and screwed up. At least the terrorists are middle eastern and in Saudi. I wouldn't have been surprised if Hollywood had made them white supremacists too.:scrutiny:

They used a P99, and he held a Five Seven mag with 5.7x28mm next to it, in 1 particular scene (I finally saw the film this past weekend)
