I have a bunch of load data I've worked up over the years for JHP's in 44 mag. Readying up to reload I realize I'm only stocked with 240gr JFP's and am out of 240gr JHP's. I have them on backorder from Midway, but I think you all know that story. Since I only have a limited number of bullets I'd rather not expend them on working up a new load if I can avoid it. My recipe for my JHP's is:
(Warning: This load is near maximum pressure. Do not reload without testing it personally.)
240gr Remington JHP
21.0gr 2400
CCI350 LPM primer
OAL=1.600"
Velocity= ~1417fps
Would you modify this load to compensate for the JFP vs the normal JHP? Or would you just let it ride as is?
