John Kerry poll!

Here is a poll -- just respond with a reply and maybe why you feel the way you do. If you were a political "matchmaker" and Kerry had to be matched up with a perfect soulmate country for him to lead, what country should he be made president of?

Some choices:

1) The USA -- because we need federal laws patterned after the People's Republic of Massachusetts.

2) France -- if they like Chirac, they'll love Kerry.

3) Sweden -- because they love socialism there and he has the charisma of Mr. Potatohead (and they would like that).

4) Uzbekistan -- because if he is their president we'll never hear from him again.

5) Cuba -- Castro is almost dead and Kerry can be totally open and honest with his true ideas and ideology if he leads a communist country.
 
I hear his grandparents are from france.

he would probably do well there. he would probably fit well in france during hitlers time and when germany decided to take over france. I can see him protesting or selling out french resistance to german soldiers.
 
Kerry's resurgence as the "electable Democrat" is kind of ironic, in light of the fact that his voting record is somewhere to the left of Ted Kennedy, while the "wildly radical" Dean was more moderate as Governor. Of course, he HAD to be more moderate to be electable in Vermont.

Of course, Dean ACTED more radical, grossly mis-managed his own campaign (again sort of ironic, since that's what everyone said about KERRY at first), and blew his own foot off in the process. Does he even realize how absurd it sounds to talk about making a last stand in Wisconsin? And even Democrats can figure out that if you can go from the best-funded campaign to broke in about a month, you probably shouldn't be anywhere NEAR the federal budget... :p
 
While I dislike Kerry very much, your calling of a left/liberal person a communist all the time is getting really old and stupid. Lets turn the tables, SIEG HEIL my rightwing bretheren.

Left != communist

Right != nazi/facist

Lets grow up people.
 
Well, let's see here. The Liberal Democrats are wanting to take the health care system we have and remake it into a "National Health Care System"...
Have you read Hillary Clinton's plan? Any of it? It's worse than Canada's. I remember some 6 months ago a successful casino was in the news... It was the Democrat politicos there that wanted to take it over with iminent domain because they, the Democrats in charge, could make "better use of the money" than what the private owners could do. I don't remember if they took it or not, but they tried in court.
The Democrats are the ones that use language such as "It takes a Village" and started up things like "Head Start" which isn't just a preschool, but a virtual foster care system and operates on the premis that parents don't know anything... so they teach the kids even how brush their teeth and then they have "home visits" where they look for excuses to bring in Child Wellfare Services.
The Democrats are getting further and further to the left, and if they had their way, would be centered firmly in the Communism spectrum...

The Right side of things... where they have pretty much moved into the Center for the most part and those that are further out on the Right (Libertarians) are heading more in the Direction of the Virtual Anarchy as we had it in the 1800's. If there wasn't so many people out there who are too stupid and pathetic to survive in such a society, I would be 100% down with that line of thinking. I don't see any Conservatives building up concentration camps...

Wasn't it a Democrat President that had them built?
Yeah, I think it was.

Lets grow up, and read some History, people.

The Nazi's were the National Socialist Party. They were left wingers. Not quite on the same spectrum as the commies but close.

This is true, but IMHO Kerry is a disgrace to the Democratic Party, and deserves to be branded a communist.

I mean, a lot of people protested the war, and that's fine, but Kerry ACTIVELY supported Vietnam during and after the war (and continues to do so to this day). The protests he organized didn't just have peace signs, they had NVA flags - these were the most radical of the anti-war movement, and their behavior wasn't pretty.

He pushed harder than anyone to get relations with Vietnam normalized. He was a veteran, and he betrayed our POWs and our soldiers with his testimony - no, I don't think the behavior of any soldiers in war is perfect, but according to Kerry, our veterans behaved worse than almost any soldiers in modern history (worse than Nazi stormtroopers, worse than the Viet Cong, worse than the Fedayeen).

I probably would have accepted people I know voting for Dean, but I'll never accept people voting for a traitor.

How about at least putting them on trial in the US and well, if they're TERRAR EVIL DOODS lock them up. If not, send them home.
