John Kerry vs. the rules of safety

madkiwi, unfortunately the photo appears to be real. Whether it's unfortunate because he wasn't kicked out of the club or because it demonstrates that he's braindead, I'm not sure.

Here's the caption:
Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites) (R) grimaces after missing a clay pigeon while trap shooting at the Gunslick Trap Club in Holmen, Wisconsin, July 3, 2004. Kerry shouldered a borrowed 12-gauge shotgun and picked off 17 out of 25 clay 'birds.' Photo by Allen Fredrickson/Reuters

And here's the caption for the first photo...

Saturday, July 3, 2004. behind him at left is U.S. Rep. Ron Kind (news, bio, voting record), D-Wisc. Kerry is on a three day bus campaign trip through Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Maybe someone (probably everyone) has a better monitor than me, but in that second photo, the one with the flag, when I zoom in, it looks like his finger is on the trigger again.

"You with the Vote?"

Well, I wasn't one of the choices but if I were in the mix, yea, me with a firearm and frequent-flier miles. :)

I've got a picture of him leaned over an M-16 attaching a sling to the front of the gun. The barrel is pointed directly at his forehead. I got the pic from another member on this site, for what it's worth

that sounds like that pic that went around a few years ago that was supposed to be al gore.;)

Kerry's claims to be a hunter and a gun enthusiast who supports the 2nd Amendment are a joke except for the reality that many gun owners who are Bush haters will believe him. His voting record is the most anti-gun of any U.S. Senator, even worse than Charles Schumer and Hilary Clinton. The mainstream media did not really cover the fact that during the primary campaign, the ONLY bill that he stopped campaigning for and returned to vote on in the Senate was an anti-gun proposal. Anyone who values their Second Amendment rights should have sleepless nights thinking about a Kerry presidency. My worry is that the millions of hunters and sport shooters who are not handgun enthusiasts may think that Kerry is on their side and only wants to restrict handguns. If he succeeds in restricting handgun ownership, rifles will follow, and then even shotguns will become the exclusive toys of the elite.
