I've heard on WIBC AM 1070 this morning that John Lott will be appearing Friday afternoon and Saturday at the Indianapolis 1500 Gun & Knife Show. Apparently, he has never been to a gun show before. He will be speaking and signing books. My understanding is that his presentation will be on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, there is nothing more specific on times in the broadcast so far.

Mulliga: I think that what beerslurpy's saying is that Mr. Lott has never made a personal appearance/presentation at a gun show before. I understand that it's part of a promotional tour for his new book.

Might be worth the parking and entrance fees just to hear what he has to say. For that matter, I've got a couple of things I could take along just to see how much cash I could turn them into.

The gun show is held at the Indiana State Fair facility on 38th Street, between Meridian St. and Keystone Avenue. Sunday is the last day.

He's not a big shooter. I've seen him talk. Interesting to listen to. Some of the gun scholars are shooters like Abgail Kohn. Most aren't real enthusiasts.

Dave Kopel let me shoot his Springfield TRP. Nice gun.

I'm headed thru on I-70, will take I-74 from there thru IL towards SE Iowa. Should be thru there about mid-morning Sunday. If anyone is planning to be there Sunday, would love to meet them for a cuppa coffee or a cheap Gun Show Weiner! ;)

I have a Garmin, so finding the fairgrounds should be no problem. If anyone's interested, let me know when and where to meet.

Thanx, guys.
