Found some good prices on 95gr Jacketed Soft Point ammo, I have never shot this type of ammo before. Any opinions? It will be used for target only, and will be shot in a Glock 19 and Kahr P9 (both polygonal rifling) so will it be ok to shoot in these type of barrels also?

Don't quite understand its purpose...unless its kinda like RBCD? Light bullet=more FPS=more ftlb. energy???

a glock 9mm is very finicky about ammo
no one will say it but me
speak to me about a land purchase in the florida everglades
: )

MemphisJim that's prime waterfront territory!

They were developed back when decent JHPs really didn't exist, they didn't deform much if at all, they should be fun for targets.

They will most likely shoot low due to their lighter weight.

This round may work where one is concerned about overpenetration. Bullets this weight can safely be driven to 1400-1500 fps. This velocity would ensure good expansion even from a soft point. I've loaded both lead and jacketed bullets in 9mm in the 90-95 gr weight but never a JSP. You have to load them hot to ensure functioning. JHPs in this weight range expand violently but are short on penetration. The JSP would probably give more penetration than the JHPs.
