After watching the video of the NRA president addressing the U.N., I had some thoughts on how to garner membership and financial support for the NRA. What if every gun shop owner raised their prices just $25. I know you want to string me up for saying this with prices nearly double what they were in 2007. But, what if they did this then offered a $25 discount to NRA members with proof of current membership? Heck expand it to GOA if you want.

Then after figuring out what the tax difference would be for increased profit, the balance of that $25 from each sale were simply donated to the NRA on a weekly or monthly basis? Here's a thought--how about a 0.50 cent ammo increase with the same discount and donation plan. If you are really the NRA, you get the discount. If not, you just donated 50 cents to the NRA.

Think of it as a tax, but finally one that actually goes for something you want.

I'm not opposed to the idea, a discount if you show your NRA card.

Midway does their 'round-up' program, where they let you donate the difference between your purchase and the next full dollar amount to a trust. They donate the INTEREST from the trust tot he NRA, and it keeps growing in size.
