South Florida STUCK DEEP IN THE sWAMP.
I just got back from the gun show. no new guns this time. But>>>I did get a great deal on #10 and #11 caps got what was left 4 packs. $2.50 a pack.(I knew I should have gone yesterday). I also got a cylinder for my 1858 remmie in .44 and a loading stand. With the little grommet so I can load Colts also. And a set of faux ivory grips for my Remington pocket pistol.
Total price $50....

Nice score BBG...I went to a show this weekend also..got two tins of remington caps...5 bucks a pop...a Lee mould(.451) fer 20 bucks..and 3 boxes of .451 rb's for25 bucks....still dont know how i did that....but it worked...also...saw a Pietta buffalo remington..long barrel,,,brass frame...for 300 bucks...had to chuckle and turn away on that one...gun shows have gotten outragous huh????

Yes I have noticed the prices going up real fast on all the good stuff. I think they are trying to get the prices up so they can score big time on the un knowing public. But thanks for the internet we all know what things are supposed to go for. I got tird of paying outrages prices for round balls so I bought all the molds I need to make for what I have and now I am collecting soft lead off ebay for $1 a pound. Right now I have 55lbs.
In the next week or so its gonna be melting time. I figure about 500 rounds of each caliber for now.

English flintlock dragoon pistol

Went to the Tanner Gun Show in Denver. Came home with 40 stripper clips for my Bush Master. They were 45 cents a piece.
The prize of the day....Two reproduction 1746 English dragons. They are in fair shape. Both are 62 cal or 20 20 gauge. What I need to know, they have serial numbers. But, for maker, DGH, I have looked online. Found nobody with those
letters.
Does anybody know anything about the maker? I know the price is around $300 a piece. I made a good deal on them.

Thanks

BHP, Yes I'm positive of dgh. The serial numebers are 029 and 032. There should be other ones out there. I have searched the web, with no results. So the only way is to find out from someone who has one. So mean while I'll take one to the range. I have some 60 round balls. I will start out with a low charge. Also have some 20 gauge cards. I think I will start with shotgun loads first. With a low charge. Unless I hear from somebody first. That knows more about the pistol.
Let you all know what happens.

I beleive the DGH stamp is from India ( maybe Importer )..I`ve seen it on a few pistols in the past .

Here are the grips I got for pocket remmie and then the first one done with the scrimshaw my first attempt. Be gentle about the scrimshaw.
