I just bought a Kel Tec P3AT and a Don Hume holster and was curious, what is some good carry ammo? I have Hydra Shoks, Speer Gold Dots, CCI Blazer FMJ and Rem UMC FMJ. Just wondering what you all would use for carry ammo? Thanks in advance!

corbon, remington golden sabre, winchester silvertips. it is probably going to depend more on what you can find, rather than what you want. personally, i carry alternating silvertips and fmj's in my 380's. be sure to get several boxes of inexpensive (yeah, right) practice ammo to break the gun in with. it will need a couple of hundred rounds before it is 100% reliable. you will have some malfunctions in the first few boxes of ammo. they just need to break in.

You should probably go ahead and do the "ramp polishing" job before you even try to use it, I had several FTF's before I did mine. I switched from Cor-Bon to Remington 380 auto 88 GR. JHP R380A1, and it was 100 % reliable last outing, so now I hate it a LOT less...

like stated above, it may not be a matter of what you want as much as what you can find... but I can assure you, if it is anything like mine, it will feed anything you can put in it reliably...

THANKS for all the advice! I just got her all cleaned uo...I notice the manual says to lightly oil the outside...what about the rails and the innerds? I will admit the little gun is real easy to take apart and put back together!

I have also had very good luck with Remington 88-grain JHP in the P3AT....100% cycling with it. I use it in my PPK/s also. The rounded bullet shape feeds very well.
All you have to do is FIND some. Three months ago you could get 100-packs at Walmart for $35. I recently paid double that for 100 rounds just to have some in my hand immediately.

I like Hornady Critical Defence, if you can find it. I feel it feeds better than most other hollow points, in my opinion. LM
