I'm fairly new to reloading and I bought a new Lee Classic Turret press and have been loading up some light Bullseye powder loads for PPC competition. I'm using 150g. SWC bullets and started out with 2.9, 3.2 and 3.4 grains of Bullseye. I loaded up 13 of each and chrony'd 3 and shot the other 10 at a target at 25 yards. Out of my 6" GP100 the 2.9 averaged 645fps, 3.2= 670fps and 3.4 was around 715fps. At the range I also shot 10 factory Remingtons at a target. The 3.4g loads came out on top with the tightest group. All these were shot from a rest and the powder weight is written at the top left of each target. I was a little surprised how dirty, smoky and stinky the Bullseye powder was. I've never heard anyone complain about it but it really stunk up the indoor range and dirty'd up my gun...it did clean up rather easily though. I have a new camera and tried a nice close up of one of my reloads and I just noticed it looks like the bullet is seated a bit crooked... but they sure shoot nice. Anyway nothing too exciting, I just wanted to post some pics and report what I came up with. I still need to try out some other loads including some with 700x powder.
