So I just hit "SUBMIT" on the order page for my long-desired DPMS LR-308. Accessories include Magpul PRS stock, ERGO Tac Deluxe grip, McCormick trigger, and Badger rings.

Can't wait to get this bad boy on my doorstep, and share pics with you guys.

Cool. The prices aren't too bad from what I saw. What reciever and barrel did you get?

I recently got in a A1 reciever one with the 24 SS fluted barrel from RGuns.net.

I still haven't gotten around to breaking it in.

Alloy A4 receiver (though we may upgrade to steel later) and 24" tube. Looking forward to putting everything through its paces. :)

You're going to like it ;)

I'm in the process of building a DPMS TAC20 on a Fulton Reciever, so far I've got the reciever and ordered the LPK and Stock yesterday. The .308 AR's are fun, till you realize theres about $20 in each mag. Still have to figure out what I'm going to do with the upper reciever as far as shipping, since I'm liveing in CA DPMS has a policy to permanetly attach the FH and cut off the bayonet lug... could care less about the lug, but I want to take the FSB off and replace it latter with single railed gas block.

I've spent some time behind the SR-25 and MK-11, they're fun rifles!

I feel your pain on the wait. I put in an order for a LRT-SASS about two weeks ago. Only 2 or 3 more months to go according to DPMS.

Totally agree...that's why I have 1,000 rds of Lithuanian 146gr sitting in the closet!!!!

Though I'm sure the 168gr FGMM will get broken out at some point, too.

Since mine won't be my "Battle" rife"-- but rather a target/hunting rifle, I stayed with the A1 receiver (no bolt assist or cover).

For me, this one will get light duty. The AR-15 I have coming in will see the rest.

I'd like to know where to get $20.00 mags for mine!!

Cheapest 20 rounders were $27.50 including shipping and I thought that was a "deal".

C Product is gearing up to start making affordable LR-308 magazines. It won't be long. According to a thread on AR15.com, it should be a couple more weeks.

So far, this has been the cheapest I've found:

The poster was saying 20 is the cost of the cartridges inside the magazine not the cost of the magazine.

I just ante'd up for a Leupold LRT Mark4 8.5-25x50 with illuminated TMR.

I think it'll be a good "fit" for this kind of fun rig.

Targetshooter2, who did your camo?

Yeah!!!

Just got word that the LR308 is shipping today, and may be in my FFL's hands by the weekend.

In celebration, I just got a Nightforce NSX 5.5-22x56 NP-R1. Maybe that was a little over-the-top.
