My son and I are going in February, here in NC. Can someone clue me in to a few things.

I heard that you can shoot some of the course in 22 and then switch to another "full size" round. I'd like to do that with my Remington target and then switch to my M1A if possible to conserve ammo.

My son is 14 and has been shooting for about 6 years. Is the content and envrionment suitable for his age?

Oh and as of 1985, the USMC was still teaching the same way down at Parris Island. For someone who had never shot before, my RR insructor took me to expert first time out. Lots of snapping in and learning how to relax.
Thanks,

John

John,

First, sure you can use a .22 for the 25m range and transition up to the .30 cal when you go to KD. The fundamentals are the same, independant of the platform.

Second, yes the environment and content are very suitable for a 14 year old. I've had 10 year old girls to grandmothers on my lines, never a complaint with any of the content. Does your son realize there was a 14 year old on the Green at Lexington? Puts a few things in perspective...

Enjoy, Ramseur, but start stretching out now!
